Lettuce

Lettuce is the main product we produce and we sell almost all of it for export, with the European Union countries and the United Kingdom being the main destinations to which it is sent.

We grow the iceberg lettuce variety and our harvesting season runs from October to May, without interruption. Its shape is round and its leaves are large, tight and crunchy. It mainly provides water and low quantities of carbohydrates and proteins, so it is not very energetic, although it is rich in vitamins, mineral salts and fibre. It is a very refreshing food and its flavour and texture make it perfect for all kinds of salads as well as a typical food of the Mediterranean diet.
